Yolkatzin

Mary Arrieta first jewelry collection is named Yolkatzin, which means “Insect” in Nahuatl (Mexican language),  in honor of insects, scarabs and beetles which are known to be a sign of rebirth, good luck and secret protectors. She is fascinated by their shapes and colors.

The materials she uses are Mexican sterling silver, gold-plated silver, semiprecious and precious stones. Handcrafted and made with happy hands.

Amber Pendant Necklace

I created this one of a kind piece cause I been fascinated with amber and it’s background. As a fossilized resin found in now-extinted conifers trees, Amber is the relic of a past that extends as far back as 95 million years ago. It’s color and natural beauty with all the encapsulated elements that conforms the piece make it unique.

Description: Handmade of Baltic Amber and adorned with an scarab and branches made in Sterling silver. 

Size of Pendant: wide 4.3 cm.  Length 5.2 cm. Thick 1.5 cm. Sterling silver chain size: 38 cm length. 

Minimalist  Amber Pendant Necklace

This one of a kind piece is very modern and sumptuous. The color is a medium yellow with a tridimensional effect caused by its natural form and shape.

Description: hand made of Baltic Amber, adorned with an scarab and a thick bevel, all made in Sterling silver. 

Size of pendant: as it has an irregular shape the wide narrow part is 0.6 cm and the wider part is 4 cm.  Pendant Length: 8 cm. Sterling silver Chain, Length: 38 cm.

Honeycomb Choker

Resin, 18 Kt. gold, gold plated sterling silver bee, citrine, natural flowers and branches

This one of a kind piece is an ode to bee’s master work in our planet, which is of great importance and benefit to humanity and the ecosystem.

The natural flowers and branches encapsulated in the resin were personally collected by me from different regions in Mexico.

The honeycomb citrine stones are meticulously hand-carved and mounted in 18 Kt. gold; they are 30 stones of difference sizes that sum 13.52 Ct.

This one of a kind piece is another masterpiece of my resin collection. It evokes nature’s perfection. I selected the flowers and branches especially for this piece.

The mother of pearl flowers are hand carved and delicately posed with colorful sapphires.
